A breeding program with a reason

Good dogs are not produced by chance.

The goal is simple: produce healthy, clear-headed, versatile Shepherds—and place each one where its natural strengths can thrive.

These dogs are family first. They live in the home, are raised with daily handling and real-life exposure, and are never reduced to a color, pedigree, or sale. Every pairing and every placement begins with health, temperament, and honest communication.

01

Health before everything

Every breeding dog is DM tested with hips and elbows screened. Failing dogs are never bred, and two DM carriers are never paired.

02

Temperament-led placement

Puppies are evaluated as they develop so drive, confidence, and energy align with the right active companion, sport, or working home.

03

Support that stays

Every placement includes a two-year genetic, hip, and elbow guarantee—plus lifetime breeder support after the puppy goes home.

One breed. Different paths.

The right dog for the life you actually live.

Not every puppy belongs in the same kind of home. Honest evaluation helps protect the dog, the family, and the future they share.

Why the name matters

He was smart. He was joy. He was love.

He was KYLO.

Kylo's complete story belongs in the breeder's own words. It is the personal reason Vom Kylohaus exists and the standard behind every health decision the program makes.

Before you apply

Questions thoughtful homes usually ask.

How are puppies matched with families?

Gender, coat, and color preferences are considered, but temperament and long-term fit guide the final match. Puppies are evaluated as they develop before placement is confirmed.

What health testing is completed?

Breeding dogs are DM tested and have their hips and elbows screened. The program does not breed failing dogs or pair two DM carriers.

What registration do puppies receive?

Puppies generally go home on prepaid limited AKC registration. Full registration may be discussed for approved homes and appropriate dogs under the program's contract requirements.

Can arrangements be made for distant families?

Pickup and transport options may be available, including airport coordination. Specific arrangements, costs, and responsibilities should be discussed before a deposit is placed.

Ready to begin?

The right placement starts with an honest conversation.

Tell Shari about your experience, your goals, and the home you can offer. An application begins the conversation—it does not guarantee a puppy.
