A readable overview of the responsibilities, protections and long-term commitments currently attached to a Vom Kylohaus puppy.
Before placing a deposit
The contract is designed to protect the puppy, the buyer and the breeding program. It covers health, care, pickup, registration, breeding, rehoming and the responsibilities that continue after the puppy goes home.
This concept page organizes the current terms for readability. It is not a substitute for the final contract supplied and approved by the breeder.
Puppies leave with age-appropriate vaccinations given by a licensed veterinarian, routine deworming and attached veterinary records. Buyers are responsible for continuing the vaccination schedule.
The buyer must have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within three business days of taking possession and retain the clean-bill-of-health record. Concerns must be reported to the breeder immediately.
The current contract provides a two-year guarantee for genetic or congenital health conditions. The breeder may request reevaluation by a veterinarian of the breeder’s choice.
The guarantee also addresses crippling hip or elbow dysplasia diagnosed on or before the dog’s second birthday. Veterinary records, imaging and any necropsy documentation must match the dog’s microchip.
Buyers agree to provide appropriate large-breed nutrition, fresh water, socialization, continuing veterinary care, secure housing and monthly preventatives.
Prolonged tethering, neglect, abuse, allowing the dog to run at large or failing to provide safe care may result in repossession under the current agreement. Grain-free feeding without veterinary direction can void the guarantee.
Puppies are expected to be picked up within five days after turning eight weeks old unless another arrangement was agreed to before the deposit.
The current agreement describes boarding charges after that period and additional vaccination costs when a puppy remains with the breeder past nine weeks.
If a buyer can no longer keep the dog, the dog is to be returned to the breeder rather than independently rehomed. Return transportation is the buyer’s responsibility when distance is involved.
The current contract does not provide a general refund for a returned dog outside the specific health-guarantee terms.
Puppies are generally sold with prepaid limited AKC registration. The current agreement requires the dog to remain intact until at least two years of age unless alteration is medically necessary.
Full AKC registration may be considered after required hip, elbow and temperament testing. Dogs granted full registration may only be bred ethically, after two years of age, to appropriately tested dogs.

Provide appropriate care, communicate early, protect the dog’s health and return the dog to the breeder if circumstances change. Every applicant should review the full current wording and ask questions before signing or paying.
